Yet another week has come and gone and it seems like things haven’t changed too much from last week.
My companion started the week off sick still and we spent all of Tuesday at home. It was a blessing to be able to rest as I wasn’t feeling well either and I enjoyed the opportunity to catch up on some small things I’d wanted to do for a while.
Elder North was feeling better on Wednesday so we went out and taught some of our friends, but we found that most of them weren’t progressing. Because of that we’ve stopped teaching them for the moment which is sad but necessary.
On Friday we had our interviews with President Law which was nice. I got to talk to him about the area, some concerns I had, and how he could help. It’s always nice to feel the love and support of leaders as a missionary and it reminds me of those leaders and family members who love and support me back home. Thank you all so much!
On Saturday I got to go to one of the native american reservations in the mission for the first time which was pretty cool! We went there to help a couple rebuild their fence and replace some of their fence posts which ended up being really fun! I didnt realize how satisfying digging holes can be!
Later that afternoon we went to a baptism for one of my companions friends in his last area and it was cool to experience someone making that covenant a part of their life! That evening we also found a new friend, so we’re excited to help them reach that point as well!
To finish off the week we had a great time making ties as a district for p-day! I’ve almost finished mine and its honestly looking great (not to toot my own horn)! A red background with white dots and daisys is a pretty great fabric choice in my opinion.
All in all, another week to scratch off the calendar and another letter to add to the books. What a reminder that, even when things seem to be the same and we seem to be walking in circles, God still has a purpose and a plan for all that we do and it’s through prayer and faith that we can hope to see that purpose in the end.
As always, I love you all and I look forward to sharing about the week to come!
Sincerely,
Elder Whitchurch

Fun Story:
While at the service on the reservation we got to play with some really cute puppys! The people we were helping had about 10-15 of the little guys running all over the place so it was fun to watch them be curious and play around while we put the fence back together. What a fun way to start the morning!
