Book 1: Chapter 5: Entry 25: Short ‘n Sweet

What a good week! I don’t have a lot of time to write much this week either (p-days are so distracting and fly by quickly in a new area) so I’ll just share as many fun highlights as I can!

We had quite a few fun service opportunites this week like helping a lady hang her artwork, moving a members things into a moving pod, and doing some yard work. At the yard work service we cut three big branches off a mulberry tree, got attacked by berries in the proccess, and had a blast doing it! Afterward the lady gave us a bag of mulberries along with four massive grapefruits and a gift card! What a fun day!

We had a great Zone Conference on Wednesday and, as always, it was fun to see some missionaries I know. Some great messages were shared yet again, though this conference was also a little sad as we heared the departing testimonies of some really amazing missionaries.

In other news, we have a friend of ours who’s progressing really well towards baptism and though we plan to put her on date tomorrow night she’s practically on date already and is so excited to learn and grow as much as she can. Its so cool how the Lord prepares you to meet the people who will bless your life the most in the exact moment you need them. She will hopefully be baptized around the 9th of May which means I’ll probably still be in the area when she does! How cool is that?

We’ve had some really cool visits with members in both wards and some amazing lessons with our friends and new members too. It’s honeslty been a crazy week because of that and we’ve been so busy, but it’s been so full of miracles!

The last thing I can think of to share is that I finally went to church for the first time in both wards yesterday and boy what a doozy that was. Four hours at church is honestly wild, esspecially on a fast Sunday. It was still pretty good though and I enjoyed meeting lots of new members and church leaders from both wards as well as joining in on a ward council for one of the wards before heading home.

To be honest, there’s not much else to share from this week so I think Ill just end by saying that I know my Redeemer lives, I know his gospel is a blessing to all those who seek it, and I look forward to being able to share that for the rest of my life. I love you all and I’ll catch you next week!

Sincerely,
Elder Whitchurch

Cool Story:
One of the members in our area has this beautiful Corvette. While at a dinner appointment with them he was kind enough to not only show us, but start the engine and let us sit in it too! What a crazy cool experience!
